Horse Ability Equine-Assisted Therapy Inc. provides experiential learning and wellness programs that foster personal growth, emotional wellbeing, leadership development, and resilience through meaningful interactions with horses. Located at North Star Acres near North Bay, Ontario, our programs offer individuals and groups opportunities to develop self-awareness, confidence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships in a safe and supportive environment.

Working alongside a herd of intuitive equine partners, participants engage in hands-on activities that encourage reflection, problem-solving, mindfulness, and authentic connection. Programs are available for youth, adults, organizations, schools, first responders, various communities, agencies, and wellness groups.

At Horse Ability, we believe horses provide powerful opportunities for learning and transformation, helping individuals recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and create lasting positive change.

Lori Burns is the Founder and Program Director of Horse Ability, a certified Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator, Equine Specialist, Mindfulness Coach, and Reiki Master. Through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, she is passionate about creating experiences that inspire connection, healing, growth, and self-discovery.
